Abstraction to me is the most creative of the fine art forms.  It comes from deep within the artist's mind and soul.

Often I begin a painting by texturing the canvas, sometimes heavily, sometimes lightly.  This creates unique passages, which can be mysterious, bold or quite.

I do not want my viewer to take a quick look then move on.  I want them to discover the veiled images, bold color, forms and secrets I have created on the canvas.  I want them to become personally and emotionally involved with my work.
